What we do The Performance Improvement Practice works with Private Equity and Corporate clients all over the world. We offer end-to-end services throughout the investment life cycle by furnishing transaction advisory, performance improvement, turnaround, interim and crisis management. Our areas of expertise include pre-M& A due diligence, merger integration, post-M& A growth strategy, corporate finance advisory, organizational and cost transformation, supply chain and manufacturing operational improvement, interim and crisis management, and CFO finance leadership. We differentiate ourselves by the result-driven approach, the hands-on mindset, and the ability to provide leadership amidst complex situations. A& M is rapidly expanding in Southeast Asia and seeking to hire Senior Associates who will be responsible for research, analytical / problem solving, modeling, and report / presentation preparation, to support various engagements of complex and high-profile situations. He/she is required to deliver rapid results with focus on bottom-line improvement. A& Ms focus in Australia will initially be Energy, Infrastructure, Asset Managers and Private Equity clients. Key Responsibilities: - Work with team members in information gathering approach and ensure all relevant sources of information are pursued- Work on a diverse range of complex assignments, alongside other experienced management professionals leading a project- Engage in practice development, marketing and selling efforts- Ensure issues and opportunities are clearly and concisely presented- Ensure that project approach, timeline and deliverables are logical, reasonable, and accurate- Set and communicate client's expectation consistently- Identify risks and obstacles early on, create contingency plans and communicating timely with client We are seeking: - Bachelor's or Master's degree (Business, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or any major with quantitative focus) with proven record of academic excellence- Excellent analytical skills, logical and structured thinking, creative in problem solving- Ability to extract useful information from large sets of unorganized or incomplete data- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently- Superior interpersonal attributes including communication and soft skills, ability to work in a team, results/performance-oriented work style, entrepreneurial, personal maturity- Excellent communication skills both oral and written, capable of interaction at all levels in a company, from factory floor to CEO- Resourceful researcher- Detail-oriented- Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills- Fluent in written and spoken English, fluency in other ASEAN languages (Bahasa Indonesia, Tagalog, Thai or Vietnamese) a plus- Willingness to travel The person also needs to fit A& M's unique culture and: - Be highly results oriented and fact driven - ability to deliver immediate and tangible results for clients, with a bias to action driven by data and fact- Be a hands-on leader - A& M is a lean organization with senior operators and leaders, not only advisors- Be entrepreneurial & a self-starter - small presence and less known brand name in Australia, need personal efforts to support project generation and also build team- Be a great team player - who is transparent, straight-forward and collaborative- Thrive in a fast-paced, challenging, and unpredictable environment - be adaptable and resourceful in solving challenges and delivering to client brief- Driven by values and integrity, straight talker - driven by facts- Demonstrable ability to balance a high-level view with detail - can relate well at all levels and cultures - can engage with 'shop floor' through to CxO clients- A natural ability to prioritize - especially in highly pressure situations It is envisaged the role will have primarily expertise and experience in the Performance improvement space. However, there is the possibility for the role to work across other areas of A& M's practice including Restructuring. The A& M PI has a dedicated and growing team of senior consulting professionals who deliver functional, process, and technology skills to support the needs of both corporate management and private equity. Consulting teams can take on advisory or interim management roles, as most appropriate for the situation and the client's needs. A& M PI's team operate in a variety of industries: energy & resources, financial services, high technology (software and hardware), media and telecommunications, and retail, as well as construction and engineering, food and beverage, healthcare, insurance, pharmaceuticals, and private equity, among others.
