Kforce has a client in Bradenton, FL that is seeking a Clinical Engineer - SQL/BA and QA Testing.Responsibilities:
Provide specialized clinical engineering development, consultation, and reporting
Use judgment in prioritizing work and making decisions regarding methods and solutions within the context of clinical engineering principles
Use software knowledge and solution expertise to test and QA technical build implemented by software developers
Analyze and develop reports related to problems and incidents involving equipment, review codes and standards to ensure compliance with internal and external requisites based on a thorough knowledge of regulatory guidelines and an understanding-test, identify sample size, and perform data manipulation as appropriate
Act as a liaison between the software developers and client/business requests
Work with Development team to identify and mitigate product risks
Develop internal quality systems and procedural guidelines for equipment inspection programs, provide instructional and educational seminars related to technical or risk management
Work with the business to develop as well as discuss client requests to prioritize future enhancements and bug fixes
Provide recommendations related to software enhancements, develop database search, data analysis, reporting and custom operational systems
Define root cause issues and solutions for software troubleshooting and product enhancements
Participate in development of new or enhanced services
Create, write, and edit technical documents to clearly define business needs
Analyze, access, input, and retrieve data
Work on projects which may be assigned on an ad hoc basis
Act as product SME internally to answer technical software questions upon clinical request
Lead meetings with internal and external customers and teams and serve as a key Subject Matter Expert on those meetings
Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering Technology, Biomedical Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a health-related field preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3 years of experience working in a clinical setting, such as a hospital, medical clinic, or other healthcare facility preferred, with a working knowledge of cardiology, electrophysiology, implantable cardiac rhythm devices, remote monitoring, cardiac ambulatory monitoring, and E H R integration
Demonstrated level of comfort in talking with other members of a healthcare team
Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment
Strong understanding of quality assurance procedures
Experience working with a wide range of medical or cardiac equipment manufacturers
Knowledge of biology, mechanics, anatomy and pharmacology, as well as advanced understanding of the cardiovascular system, cardiovascular ailments and common treatments
Familiarity with at least one E H R system (such as Athena, Epic, Cerner)
Basic SWL knowledge required
Experience working with HL7 messages
Effective and persuasive written, electronic, and oral communication skills
Strong research and analytical skills
Experience with medical and computer-aided design software systems
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
