Overview

The Associate Insurance Rate & Form Analyst will primarily be tasked with reviewing property and casualty rate and form filings. This is a great opportunity for individuals who are detail oriented and have a comprehensive knowledge of property and casualty coverages. Most of the form and rate review work is done independently with ample opportunities for collaboration with a larger team to discuss issues or policy questions as they arise. At DFR our mission is to protect Vermont consumers and ensure they are purchasing compliant products. The Analyst IV will be expected to handle a high filing load and be able to manage statutory deadlines. Organizational skills as well as the ability to clearly communicate compliance issues with third party filers and companies is integral to the position.\ Although the position is office-based, telework arrangements may be available.

Environmental Factors

Duties are performed primarily in standard office settings, though occasional field travel requires private means of transportation. Issuance of findings may result in adversarial interactions with insurers and their representatives. Duties may involve significant time pressure, especially in the case of urgent appeals, and may require work outside of normal office hours.
