Cullman Electric Cooperative is seeking highly qualified, talented, and motivated applicants for the position of ApprenticeStaking Technician.{new="" roman="" times=""}{courier="" new=""}\ \ An employee in this position investigates, surveys and stakes electric distribution lines according to construction specifications, cooperative policies and safety standards with the ability to conduct field inspections of constructions projects and prepare and maintain activity reports and performance records. Employee may also be required to maintain the distribution voltage drop calculation program and section maps and will assist in preparing and maintain system maps and database. {new="" roman="" times=""}{courier="" new=""}\ \ The successful candidate will have a High School diploma or equivalent. College level courses in math, electricity and personal computers are preferred, but not required. Work experience in the utility sector such as power, telecommunications, internet, gas, water, etc. is preferred, but not required. {new="" roman="" times=""}{courier="" new=""}\ \ OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS ABILITIES AND LICENSE REQUIRED: The key job requirements include skills in communication both written and oral, public relations, time managements, follow directions, work independently and prioritize job task, the ability to work cooperatively and as a team member with a strong emphasis on providing outstanding member service. {new="" roman="" times=""}{courier="" new=""}\ \ The ability to apply substantial judgment and analytic ability and to calculate mathematical problems is required. To perform this job successfully an individual should have knowledge of Windows based software for database, word processing, and spreadsheet. {new="" roman="" times=""}{courier="" new=""}\ \ WORKING CONDITIONS: The working environment is a blend of working in a remote office environment and outdoor environment in various weather conditions. This position also requires availability of the employee during adverse weather or unusual conditions at all times of the day and night, as well as on weekends when conditions dictate.{new="" roman="" times=""}{courier="" new=""} {courier="" new=""}\ LICENSE AND CERTIFICATES REQUIRED: A valid Alabama drivers license is required.
