The Associate Director, U.S. Payer Marketing, is accountable for developing market access strategies and solutions for the assigned brands. The candidate will partner across functions including Brand Marketing, Integrated Account Management, Outcomes Research and Policy to incorporate market/customer insights in the development of payer customer segment strategies and value evidence planning. In this role, the Associate Director will also partner with Global Market Access and Pricing teams in the development of pricing and contracting strategies.

The role will be accountable for Payer Marketing of the pipeline and inline HIV portfolio and may help other brands within the Hospital & Specialty Business Unit, aligned with business priorities. This role will report to the Director, Payer Marketing, Hospital & Specialty.

Primary tasks Include:

  • Leverage market and customer insights to shape market access strategies

  • Provide US payer input into Global Access Teams, new product planning, and business development initiatives

  • Participate in the development of value evidence strategies; strong coordination with Outcomes Research / VEAM (Value Engagement Team)

  • Develop payer and health system value messages, pricing and contracting strategies

  • Develop payer customer segment strategy and promotional campaigns for all US payer customer segments (health plan, PBM, Medicaid, Medicare, federal, pharmacy, hospital and GPO)

  • Assist US Finance in development of segment level forecasts in promotion of brand forecast

  • Assist appropriate pull-through activities and payer related solutions for field sales and account management teams

  • Work with Senior Specialist to develop and deploy resources to boost managed care strategy

Education:

  • Required: BA/BS

  • Preferred: MBA, MPH, Pharm D or other advanced degree

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years combined market access, marketing/sales influence, account management, or consulting in the healthcare industry

  • Demonstrated comprehension of the mechanics and economics of the healthcare Ecosystem, including influences between Payers and Integrated Delivery Networks

  • Demonstrated comprehension of US healthcare trends and policy issues and their potential impact upon our company's business opportunities

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute brand and customer marketing strategies to include innovative approaches and digital engagement

  • Strong knowledge of marketing fundamental and activating market research insights

  • Ability to translate market trends and customer needs into customer resources or tactics

  • Ability to learn quickly and to assess a variety of scenarios, strategically and operationally

  • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving, critical thinking

  • Excellent management and communication skills

  • Demonstrated success in establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships

  • Strong partnership, project management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize activities and manage multiple tasks within deadlines

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Developing market access and pricing / contracting strategies

  • Product launch or launch planning

  • Consulting/Stakeholder Management in cross-functional capacity

  • Background in Hospital & Specialty Products

Preferred location is hybrid in Upper Gwynedd, PA but may consider remote opportunity if candidate is willing to travel to HQ as needed.
