Role Details

Applies the knowledge and skills necessary to provide therapeutic art experiences that meet the age-related needs of patients, promote maintenance and/or rehabilitation of normal growth and development, and optimal adjustment of patient and family to hospitalization, illness and disability.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Master’s in Art Therapy, or related field leading to similar competency may be considered..

  • Experience working with culturally diverse children, adolescents, and their families in a therapeutic setting.

  • Experience planning and directing activities for children and adolescents with various health conditions.

Required Credentials:

  • Registered Art Therapist, ATR

Preferred:

  • Board Certified in Art Therapy, ATR-BC

  • Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)

  • Attended cultural awareness and ethics courses in the previous two years.

Min: USD $29.48/Hr. Max: USD $44.23/Hr.

Min Salary: USD $61,318.40/Hr. Max Salary: USD $91,998.40/Yr.

This compensation range was calculated based on full-time employment (2080 hours worked per calendar year). Offers are determined by multiple factors including equity, skills, experience, and expertise, and may vary within the range provided.

Seattle Children’s offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.

This compensation range is specific to Seattle, positions located outside of Seattle may be compensated differently depending on various factors.
