The Opportunity

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring seasonal Banquet Server to join our team at The Gideon Putnam in Saratoga Springs, New York. As a Banquet Server, you will provide outstanding guest service while serving food and beverage products in a banquet setting, ensuring that The Gideon Putnam guests' needs are being met in a positive, efficient, and courteous manner.

Minimum pay rate: $13.60 / hour

Responsibilities

• Sets up tables for function in accordance with the banquet event order.

• Accurately transports food and beverages to guests in a timely manner.

• Performs necessary tasks to service guests such as taking and filling drink orders, providing refills, answering questions, and clearing dirty dishes.

• Serves alcoholic beverages responsibly, requests identification adheres to all unit and company alcohol service policies and procedures.

• Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring all requests are promptly fulfilled; handles any guest complaints.

• Replenishes food on buffet lines (if applicable).

• Maintains a safe and clean environment for guests and fellow associates.

• Breaks down events according to company procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Minimum of 3 months previous experience in food and beverage service preferred.

• Must pass Serve Safe Alcohol and Food Handler training classes.

• Excellent guest service skills.

• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills, including listening skills and ability to take food and beverage orders and fill those orders correctly.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand or walk, including up and down stairs, for the entire length of shift.

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.

• Mobility to maneuver between tables.
