A BRIEF OVERVIEW\ The Demand Analyst position is responsible for all demand forecasting activities associated with customers and products. They create and maintain forecast models for customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, project management, finance, operations, and other sources. The Demand Analyst is the integration point into the sales and commercial organization. This position leads the dialogue each month for conversion of demand data into Operation planning and is a key element in the success of our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process. This position can either be remote or based out of our corporate office in Lansing, Michigan.

WHAT YOU WILL DO\ Collaborate with sales and finance teams in the development and preparation of commercial performance forecasts, projections, and plans\ Publish, present and visualize business information in a creative and informative manner, suitable to the audience in mind, including insightful analytics and meaningful interpretations/implications and conclusions\ Develop demand forecasts (operational forecasts) at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons as part of a demand planning function.\ Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results.\ Coordinate cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances and refine the forecast model to reflect updated sales, marketing and project management assumptions.\ Interact with sales, marketing, project management, operations & finance to understand demand forecast drivers.\ Provide demand forecast data as the basis for the strategic 5-year plan and budgeting cycles annually.\ Utilize a collaborative and consensus approach by working with sales, marketing, project management and Finance to obtain and ensure that current and accurate information is used for demand forecasts.\ Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool (and form part of the evaluation / definition team for selecting future software tools).\ Provide input to Operations providing demand numbers for the coming year with more accurate data for the coming 1, 2, and 3 month period

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS\ Bachelor of Science (B.S) (Required)\ Master of Business Administration (MBA) (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS\ 2+ Years of Experience in a Manufacturing Environment\ Experience with data analysis and dashboarding processes and tools, specifically Power BI, MS Excel, and data warehousing solutions\ Knowledge of Integrated Business Planning (preferred but not required)
