Community Connections Inc. is looking for a Program Coordinator to join our new Social Recreational Services team based in South Yarmouth, MA. In this role you will support individuals with disabilities by designing & planning social & recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities. You will help participants develop & build meaningful friendships & experience more inclusivity in the communities where they live & work. You will aid Community Connections in their mission to provide optimal independence & enriching services to people with disabilities. We are looking for a Program Coordinator with a commitment to compassion, mentoring others & serving the community. What You'll Do as a Program Coordinator: Ensure & safeguard the CCI consumers? human dignity, rights & liberties while encouraging the acquisition of social skills & independence Demonstrate a high regard for each individuals' cultural values, expectations & goals of the individuals & their families Display professional attitude & behavior, being courteous, empathetic, helpful & positive in all interpersonal interactions Work collaboratively with CCI leadership & state agencies in assessing client needs, situations, strengths & desires & developing social recreational programs that support those interests Work effectively & cooperatively with individuals, other staff, families, community members & collaborators, representing CCI in a positive & professional manner Monitor members? progress & response to program offerings & participation. Ensure program offerings are aligned with members? needs & that they are contributing to positive outcomes. Maintain case files & records to measure & track interests, passions & talents of members & to capture progress. Counsel & mentor members (individually & in groups) on how to initiate, build & nurture meaningful friendships.
