As an intern at Invenergy, you will have the opportunity to:<br> <ul> <li>Expand your knowledge and skills while gaining hands-on professional experience</li> <li>Engage with leaders throughout the organization and learn about the clean energy industry through weekly lunch-and-learns.</li> <li>Visit our nearby power plants: Grand Ridge Energy Center and Nelson Energy Center</li> <li>Have lunch with our CEO and Founder, Michael Polsky</li> <li>Explore Chicago with your fellow interns</li></ul> <br> <b>ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP</b> <br> <br>The Renewables Asset Management team manages Invenergy's portfolio of wind, solar and storage assets. Asset Management encompasses a wide range of activities all directed toward the same goal: maximizing the profitability of the portfolio. As an intern in the department, you can expect to perform a wide variety of tasks in support of this effort, including:<br> <ul> <li>Collaborating with a variety of internal teams, including Operations, Finance, Engineering and Accounting, to support operational performance and initiatives.</li> <li>Performing variance analysis of project financials</li> <li>Assisting the Asset Management staff with project performance reporting to internal and external stakeholders.</li> <li>Performing ad-hoc analyses of performance improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing the assets.</li></ul> <br> <b>QUALIFICATIONS </b> <br> <ul> <li>Currently enrolled in a 4-year Bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date between May 2023 and May 2024.</li> <li>Majoring in a quantitative discipline with a cumulative GPA of 3.0. Preferred majors include:<ul> <li> Finance, Engineering, Economics or Business</li></ul></li> <li>Comfortable working in an amorphous environment</li> <li>Ability to use Excel is preferred.</li> <li>Familiarity with standard financial metrics and analyses (NPV, IRR, DCF models) preferred.</li></ul>
