Role Details

This position is responsible for achieving Area whole goods sales targets, by effectively managing Equipment Sales Consultants in a manner that is consistent with Titan Machinery’s Core Values and Business Model.

  • Supervise all aspects of the whole goods retail sales and whole goods rent-to-own business in their area of responsibility

  • Proactive open communication and strong relationship with OEM

  • Collaborate effectively with Titan managers and sales teams, to optimize the business

  • Participate in knowledge sharing across the Company and the implementation of Titan’s best practices

  • Effectively engage and manage the individual and team performance of Equipment Sales Consultants by:

  • Recruiting, hiring, developing, training, coaching, and retaining high performing direct reports, according to Titan policy and practices

  • Providing disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance management and feedback for direct reports

  • Ensuring that direct reports participate in region and division sales training opportunities, and that direct reports consistently comply with dealer standards and Titan company polices and processes, including but not limited to: SOX and Standard Operating Procedures, Sales processes, and Titan’s Core Values.

  • Establish daily, monthly, and quarterly performance goals for Equipment Sales Consultants, in alignment with Area and Region objectives, and manage the Equipment Sales Consultants to consistently meet or exceed their performance goals (ROA, market share, inventory turns, margins, cash, etc.)

  • Ensure that Equipment Sales Consultants successfully grow the business both organically with existing customers, and through new customer acquisition

  • Proactively manage with Equipment Sales Accounts the Key and Multiple unit customers, including programs, used valuations, managing trades and margins to insure continued profitable transactions.

  • Work with the sales team through the CRM process to maximize sales through efficient sales and marketing efforts and building strong customer relationships.

  • Build partnerships with customers in assigned area to identify their needs, identifies prospective business and customer relationships, and collaborates with internal functions to evaluate continuous improvement opportunities, including lost sales reporting and analysis.

  • Other duties as assigned by Region Sales Manager

Required:

  • 2+ years of related experience OR related education/training (degree, certificate, military, etc)

  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills including personal integrity and character, and ability to build and lead a team of experts to consistently achieve results

  • Comprehensive understanding of internal and external business

  • Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively and efficiently resolve employee and customer conflicts

  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a fast-pace, changing environment

  • Demonstrated client service skills and the ability to develop strong business relationships

  • Demonstrated sales skills including: the ability to sell opportunities, ideas, and concepts; strong negotiation and closing skills

  • Strong computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information

  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines efficiently

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple groups/functions and at different levels in the organization

  • Understanding of the key business drivers for our customers

  • Keen attention to detail and a high level of initiative and ability to work independently

  • Strong computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time and to Titan and customer locations, trade shows, and based upon business needs.

  • Ability to work flexible hours

  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, stressful work environment

  • Ability to handle and resolve frequent interpersonal conflict

  • Ability to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees
