Localization Support Engineer III Location: Remote (Denver, NY, Houston, LA, San Diego) Duration: 12 months with possible extension Description: Duties : As a localization support engineer, you will help support the localization pipeline by managing help center content, creating and testing automations, creating data pipelines and dashboards to monitor operations health and improvements.m. We are looking for a contractor who is familiar with localization processes, tools, translation memory solutions, able to analyze data and good at identifying patterns. Should have proficiency in SQL, Python, XML and PHP. Responsibilities Create data pipelines, dashboards and analysis to support localization operations and improvements aintain, triage and respond to alerts, investigating errors/bugs Maintain documentation of changes/new features Manage vendor help center by providing web engineering for our Vendor Learning Center Review, combine and monitor data for issues on assigned projects Automate tasks to provide short term and tactical solutions Assisting non-technical team members with implement localization solutions Analyzing operations to provide insight on opportunities for workflow and process improvement Skills Minimum Qualifications 5+ years of experience with localization engineering BA/BS in technical discipline or equivalent experience Experience with localization platforms, translation memory technologies – such as MemSource, or any similar in-house localization tools and platform that manages and/or automates the translation workflow. Understanding of localization issues around source content, including familiarity with XML, JSON and configuring parsers and localizability settings Experience managing a CMS or other web-based content platform/site Experience and understanding of the localization process and understanding requirements to build localization processes Ability to analyze large sets of data, sufficiency in a Query language like Presto, MySQL to create dashboards Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently Ability to stay focused under pressure, prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in standard programming/scripting with SQL, HTML, XML, PHP, Python, Bash Education : BA/BS in technical discipline or equivalent experience Years of Experience: 5+ Flexible on degree if someone has good relevant experience Key projects/typical day in the role: Supporting the localization team Data related work: Data analysis, SQL queries, etc Troubleshooting technical issues Writing some code for small pieces of the localization internal tool Top Must have skills: Coding experience - strong proficiency in programming, scripts SQL, Python, HTML, XML Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently Nice to Have skills: Ideally - localization engineering Bilingual is helpful
