This role is a key asset in the future growth of Arizona College of Nursing (“the College”). The Analyst assists the Corporate Development team with the Company’s acquisition activities, capital raises, and special projects. The Analyst provides financial leadership and strategic support to senior and executive management including preparing board presentations, financial presentations, capital expenditure analysis, industry and peer group comparisons, new business opportunity analysis, acquisition analysis, and other projects requested by senior management. This position leads the analytical engine of the Company to provide insights and regularly contributes to critical decision making. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual who functions with confidence and expertise in a fast paced and rapidly changing business environment.
o Lead due diligence and financial modeling for acquisitions.
o Prepare presentations for Board of Directors and senior management team.
o Develop and track integration plans for acquisition targets.
o Project manage the financial aspects of acquisitions.
o Coordinate legal documentation.
o Develop collateral for capital raise, including lender and investor presentations.
o Develop and maintain corporate financial model, including the strategic plan model.
o Develop and track timeline for capital raises.
o Project manage the financial aspects of capital raise.
o Coordinate legal documentation.
o Support senior and executive management teams and department heads with in-depth analysis.
o Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes.
o Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, expenses, and capital expenditures.
o Monitor performance indicators; highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance.
o Critically evaluate processes and implement creative solutions to drive efficiencies.
o Calculate and explain to stakeholders ROI of investments including but not limited to new campuses, acquisitions, capital expenditure, leases, marketing programs, as well as new projects.
o Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives, including NPV and IRR analyses and sensitivity analyses related to operations and capital structure.
o Perform Ad-Hoc analysis.
o Develop a strong executive presence and present complex materials in a succinct manner to senior executives to drive effective decision making.
o Research information, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent skills and experience required.
Two or more years of experience within the Finance function or with relevant experience in strategy/management consulting, investment banking, corporate finance, or private equity required.
Experience with financial modeling, including IRR and NPV analyses required.
Experience with data warehousing and business intelligence required.
Experience with at least annual planning/budget cycles preferred.
Experience with enterprise reporting and budgeting system(s) preferred.
Experience with leveraged companies preferred.
Experience in multi-unit retail/restaurant concepts or for-profit higher education preferred.
Self-motivated and driven to achieve.
Ability to organize, prioritize and manage time.
Advanced knowledge of financial statements.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
