Jack Henry is currently looking to hire an experienced programmer to join our Banking Operations Integration team. In this role, you will join a team who will actively collaborate and provides support for the annual release process involving our Silverlake and 20/20 core platforms, as well as other JH products. This position will provide ongoing support to our customers across the US. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong work ethic and be able to thrive working both independently and within a team setting. What you’ll be responsible for:
Develops programming code for new and/or existing software enhancements.
Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.
Devises block diagrams, logic procedures and prepares flowcharting.
Troubleshoots and debugs existing code.
Test’s code and fixes to ensure quality.
Provides programming support for various interfaces.
Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes; may assist the customer in determining if and how system enhancements may improve process flow and business function.
Creates programming documentation as requested; may include defining the system and functional requirements of the product
May complete project bids and/or work effort estimates. Interacts with customers to gather system requirements.
Mentors, trains, develops and provides support to less experienced co-workers.
May perform other job duties as assigned
What you’ll need to have:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in programming or software development in a professional or educational setting.
Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends.
What would be nice for you to have:
IBM i development.
Able to meet aggressive deadlines.
Strong knowledge of the financial industry.
Strong knowledge of applicable Change Management Systems.
Technical Customer Support experience.
Experience with RPG ILE.
