POSITION SUMMARY
Provide patient care and perform CT (Computed Tomography) / DX (Diagnostic Radiological) studies. Acts as a problem-solving leader and organizer, by communicating well with staff. Must be able to perform work independently.
This position is a floating position between the Foothills campus and the Community Medical Center.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Educational or Formal Training
Registered Radiology Technologist (ARRT) for Radiology Technology
Completion of CT training (structured or on the job)
Special Qualifications (licensure, registration, etc.)
BLS by the end of the conditional period
Active Registered Technologist (ARRT) for CT, or CT registered within:
two years from hire/transfer date for trainee, or
18 months from hire/transfer date for registry eligible staff
Knowledge, Skill and Ability
Must have intricate knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and a basic understanding of human physiology.
Ability to problem solve.
Able to adapt exam routines and techniques when necessary to optimize quality of exams.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to work closely with radiologists and other physicians.
Must have moderate computer and organizational skills.
Ability to handle stress.
Ability to perform venipuncture.
Knowledge of sterile preparations and procedures.
Experience
Prefer one-year experience in field at Boulder Community Hospital.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs quality patient care.
Orient new staff.
Enforces policies and procedures.
QA/QC activities.
Works toward goal of quality improvement.
Schedules patients.
Coordinates clinical information and previous testing to determine if additional views need to be obtained.
Monitors and cleans equipment and reports equipment problems to the Supervisor.
Multi Comp CT tech-perform CT and X-ray exams for in-house and ED patients
