Role Details
Ziegler CAT is seeking an experienced salesperson to represent Ziegler Power Systems to promote and sell Advanced Electrical Services (AES). Product offerings include but aren\'t limited to maintenance, testing and repair of low and medium voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, protective relays, automatic transfer switch (ATS), and battery systems.
Responsibilities:
- Work in unison with Ziegler\'s Product Support Sales Representatives to collectively consult with customers to identify their electrical service needs
- Make service recommendations and develop service plans for electrical systems/components for customers with critical power.
- Prepare detailed quotes and Customer Support Agreements (CSA) to present to customers
- Use CRM to track all customer activity including phone calls and in-person visits. In addition, use CRM to track sales quotes including all opportunities, wins and losses
- Research, create and present helpful PowerPoint presentations to industry specific organizations and customers
- Work with Field Service Dispatchers to schedule service work that has been sold and communicate service status regularly with customer
- Maintain good customer relations; intervene to solve problems and disputes; look for ways to enhance customer relations within the scope of Ziegler\'s Mission Statement
- Contact customers by phone or in person on a regular basis - weekly, monthly, or quarterly depending on the customer\'s needs
- Identify prospective customers by using business directories, associations, following leads from existing customers, website and Ziegler employees
- Promote and sell additional parts and labor to further accommodate customer\'s needs
- Keep abreast of new products and developments that are relevant to power systems customers, especially as they relate to testing and maintaining electrical distribution equipment
- Participate in clubs, organizations and association meetings, conferences, and trade shows
Qualifications:
- Bachelor\'s degree in Business or Engineering is a plus, High School diploma is minimum required
- 2+ years of sales experience in a similar industry or customer facing technical sales role
- Experience with any of the following is a plus: Electrical distribution equipment - low or medium voltage switchgear, electrical engineering, project management, motor maintenance and repair
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Results-oriented and self-starter
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Good driving record
- Able to operate equipment safely

Travel:
Minimum Physical Requirements:
- Push/pull up to 10 lbs
- Lift up to 30 lbs
- Carry up to 50 lbs
- Lift bulky objects
- Standing, walking, using hands, talking, hearing, neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, ladder climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching.
- Working Conditions may be indoor and/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
