Caterpillar is seeking an entry level AWS cloud engineer to join the team within Global Information Services. In this role, the incumbent will work alongside both peers and architects, with specific focus on foundational build-outs, operational tasks, and cybersecurity efforts.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Performing development, automation, and deployment assignments without close supervision
Working independently on complex, globally distributed cloud technology components that may be used by one or more applications or systems
Deploying or integrating cloud technologies based on requirements gathered from customers
Assisting customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts.
Required experience:
1-3 years in infrastructure operations and/or application development, with special emphasis in areas of networking, applications services, analytics platforms, distributed computing, or security
Experience developing automated solutions to deploy infrastructure or applications ( PowerShell, Python, JSON or YAML )
Basic knowledge of RHEL/Windows server environments
Proven ability to troubleshoot infrastructure and/or application connectivity issues across a complex global network
Experience developing architectural designs, processes and procedures.
Preferred Experience:
Certification in AWS
Experience using the Agile methodology
Experience working with CICD pipeline tools such as Azure DevOps
Experience working with corporate security on infrastructure or applications security compliance and remediation activities (ie: Risk Acceptance, Security Configuration Baseline)
