The Role at a Glance
As the AVP, Director of Small Market Retirement Plan Relationship Management , you will provide leadership, direction, and functional expertise to ensure RPS (Retirement Plan Services) departmental results for assigned area(s). You will strategically develop and direct, maintain, and execute complex and robust client relationship management programs/plans which ensure that the clients’ overall service needs are satisfied. You will also direct and motivate your team of Relationship Managers and set strategic priorities and activities within the region which will lead to an increase in sales, revenue, and market share.

Ensure that top talent is hired and retained
Direct, establish and implement priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure departmental results
Direct and evaluate departmental performance and take appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards
Provides strategic leadership and direction to continually improve the capability and results, including strategically developing, maintaining, and executing complex and robust client relationship management programs/plans ensuring internal/external clients' overall service needs are satisfied & achieve the business, retention and profitability objectives
What we’re looking for
10+ Years’ experience in relationship management that directly aligns with responsibilities
3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience including influencing senior management/critical stakeholders experience
Proven strong working knowledge of retirement plans
Strong presentation skills with demonstrated ability to influence at all levels of management through clear, informed and logical discussions/presentations
Ability to successfully hire, retain, develop and coach staff via a culture of real-time performance feedback, with ability to build both technical and leadership skills
Proven track record of strong relationship management skills with internal clients (e.g. senior management, peers and colleagues); proven ability to develop creative and collaborative approaches
Strong ability to finds common ground and can gain collaboration among senior management, colleagues and peers; can influence outcomes without directing or commanding
4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
Ability to travel up to 40%
Experience in small market retirement plan relationship management, including strong partnerships with advisors and Third Party Administrators
Currently active FINRA S6, S63, S24, Life & Health state insurance licenses, all required within 180 days of start
Group Protection product knowledge (Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Life, Critical Illness, Accidental)

Pay Range: $150,000 - $300,000
Actual base pay could vary based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
