We are seeking a Advisory Services Manager / Business Process Analysis Consultant to join our team in our Tysons Corner office.
Our ideal candidate is creative and curious with a desire to work with Federal government clients to develop and deliver performance improvement services. As part of an engagement team, you will collaborate with client leadership and personnel to assess business processes and distill opportunities for cultivating financial and operational improvements and apply various analytical tools in delivering services and solutions. What your days look like:
The ability to manage and perform steps throughout the client management lifecycle, from deal capture and proposal development through project management, service delivery and closure.
Lead discovery sessions with colleagues, partners and client stakeholders to identify problem issues and develop solution requirements.
Plan, lead, and execute business process improvement and optimization engagements.
Mentor and provide developmental guidance to junior staff.
Assess, analyze, and optimize client financial and operational business processes.
Frequent communication and coordination with clients.
Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Provide thought leadership for solutions to business problems which may leverage current or future defined technologies.
Apply business consulting techniques such as process analysis, mapping, and flow charts for client processes and value streams.
Apply analysis techniques such as data analytics, statistical analysis or process modeling.
Use visualization and graphical display techniques to depict and convey informative results from data sets to client decision-makers.
Produce and present written assessments in both narrative form and slide deck form.
Liaise amongst client, internal business operations, and technical IT teams to define and communicate solution needs.
What you need for this role:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business or technical discipline.
Minimum 5 years of experience working with government and public sector organizations providing financial, operational and technical consulting services.
Formal training in data analytics or data science (certification ideal).
Experience in the use of analytics software, ideal candidate has practical experience using Socrata software.
Natural desire to understand, evaluate and enhance key business processes.
Solution-driven mindset, critical thinking skills and tactical know-how that can be leveraged to bring strategic ideas to fruition.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple concurrent projects as part of a distributed team in a virtual environment.
Obsession to expand knowledge and skills in the information technology arena.
Strong business writing and presentation skills.
Ability to travel to support client engagements of up to 40%.
Additional preferred qualifications:
A professional certification in a business discipline such as Project Management Professional (PMP).
Experience performing professional services in public sector, financial services, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, construction, financial services and/or professional services.
