Boiler/Chiller Plant Operator (#S3486PO)
The Physical Plant Department at the University of Vermont is seeking an individual for a full-time benefits eligible position as a Boiler/Chiller Plant Operator.This role will performhighly skilled operation, repair and maintenance of the Central Utility Plants five high pressure boilers and four large tonnage centrifugal chillers and their associated equipment in a safe and efficient manner using comprehensive understanding of system interdependencies and operations. UVMs operators manage, analyze system data, and monitor the Building Automation Control Systems (Honeywell and Johnson), anticipate system needs, problem-solve and adjust set points.
High School Diploma, vocational building trades training and four years of experience in heating and/or cooling plant operations andmaintenance and Building Automation Management Systems experience required. VT Natural Gas Certification; VT Fuel Oil BurningEquipment Installer (Limited) Certification, or abilityto obtain within one year required
