Job Description

This position will assist the Division of Student Success and Engagement, Mays Center for Experiential Learning and Community Engagement, and the Cisneros Institute with assessment, data collection, compliance, and reporting to various constituencies across multiple platforms. Emphasis will be placed on the ability to engage and work with both divisional and institutional colleagues to foster a culture of inquiry and support a data informed decision environment. Leading complex projects, managing technology platforms and solutions will be key elements to supporting the division, Mays Center, and Cisneros Institute.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead divisional efforts and support functional area efforts in assessment, data collection, data analysis and reporting

  • Support Mays Center for Experiential Learning and Community Involvement and the Cisneros Institute regarding data collection, reporting, and compliance. Provide assistance for grants, awards, and other external outreach

  • Manage assessment and student support systems for assessment, data collection, and program support

  • Assist with administration of national level surveys and research projects

  • Work with Offices of Institutional Research and Institutional Effectiveness regarding data distribution to support data informed decision making

  • Assist with professional development opportunities at institution and division levels for assessment and best practices for data use

  • Generate visualizations and scheduled reports to support institutional and division leadership

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Six (6) years of related experience.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience incorporating technology, technology solutions, and technology platforms at a departmental or division level

  • Experience using statistics, statistical software packages, and business analytics platforms in a professional or educational setting

  • Experience in leading, managing, and delivering complex, multi-constituent projects

  • Experience with data collection, analysis, and reporting

  • Experience with survey platforms and assessment methodologies

  • Master’s Degree

  • Experience in Higher Education

  • Five year’s professional experience in assessment and/or working with data in a data informed environment

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency with spreadsheet and data base platforms

  • Proficiency with reporting and communication of data

  • Proficiency in quantitative analysis

  • Ability to utilize, learn, and manage multiple technology platforms and implement technology based solutions

  • Ability to support departments or functional areas with assessment and data interests.
