Business Intelligence Analyst (Business Information Consultant) – Power BI Developer
Location: This position will work in a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations and be willing to work Eastern Standard time to meet the needs of our clients.
The Business Intelligence Analyst (Business Information Consultant) is responsible for creating dashboards, reports, and other analyses for operational customers by applying business intelligence concepts. In addition, this individual will analyze business requirements and write/edit query code.
How you will make an impact :
Creates PowerBI management dashboards and operational reports
Will write query code to mine data from company warehouses
Analyzes data using various levels of summarization and drill-down and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.
Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.
Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports based on operational data.
May require taking business issues and devising the best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.
May make recommendations based on data analysis.
Provides analytic consultation to other business areas, leadership or external customers. Data analysis and reporting encompass a much higher level of complexity.
Minimum Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Experience with PowerBI and SQL highly preferred.
The ability to work independently and make recommendations based on statistical analysis highly preferred.
Ability to transform complex outcomes to easily understood content preferred.
Financial management experience preferred.
Health insurance industry experience highly preferred.
Advanced Certification in process improvement and process control competencies, such as Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt/Master Black Belt or ITIL Advanced Certification preferred.
The ability to clearly and concisely communicate and present analytical data to all levels of management strongly preferred.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $86,160 to $155,088
