What is a Maintenance Technician:

We are looking for a proactive employee to maintain and troubleshoot Pitney Bowes Mainstream, Mainstream Evolution Inserting Systems, and Bluecrest Epic Machines. This is a full-time, on-site position and is an excellent opportunity for growth within our organization. Some responsibilities are:

• Reading and Interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Detect faulty operations and defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.

• Ensure mechanical operations, standards and controls are maintained at a high level.

• Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

• Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instruments and equipment.

• Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies; places and expedites orders; verifying receipts.

• Training Staff to Operate Equipment

  Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• 1-5 years previous experience with machine maintenance position.

• Must have a valid NYS Driver’s license.

• Must be able to work effectively on a team and be able to work independently.

• Must have strong attention to detail and multi-task while making deadlines.

• Must demonstrate flexibility.

• Must be neat and ensure work areas are kept clean.

• Must be able to use hand tools, a forklift, and a pallet jack.

• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills

  Conditions of Employment

  Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
