Job Summary BHE GT&S is seeking one position for either a Corrosion Engineering Technical Specialist II or Corrosion Engineering Technical Specialist III commensurate on the applicant\'s skills. It will be located at Bridgeport, WV or Jane Lew, WV. The Corrosion Engineering Technical Specialist II or Corrosion Engineering Technical Specialist III will provide technical support in the resolution of corrosion problems and be active in the design, material selection and installation of cathodic protection systems to mitigate adverse effects on natural gas gathering and transmission pipelines and storage facilities. This position will support the following tasks, as well as ad hoc requests provided by the Manager, Pipeline Integrity and the Director, Pipeline Safety Management Systems: * Monitor and administer corrosion control policies, procedures, and programs. Lead corrosion control projects, including ECDA, ICDA and SCCDA projects. * Interpret corrosion field data and propose alternative solutions. * Provide guidance to Operating Areas with cathodic protection record keeping and mapping requirements, and partner to resolve corrosion problems. * Evaluate test stations to ensure they are properly classified, adequately spaced and monitored at the appropriate frequency. * Monitor new corrosion developments and their applications. * Participate in close interval survey reviews and PHMSA inspections and audits. * Lead the data collection, collation and evaluation phase of direct assessment activities. Coordinate excavation data collection.
