Description:
Applied Materials APG (factory solution software group) seeks to hire a Segment Manager to drive APGProductivity products and solutions offerings in the Battery Manufacturing Segment and in the exploration of these applications to adjacent industries. This position will define, promote and generate value propositions for all Applied APG solutions (Manufacturing Execution Systems MES, Statistical Process Control SPC, Equipment Connectivity for Automation, Planning, Scheduling, Dispatching, Simulation and Workflow Automation).
A successful candidate will have an understanding of general factory software automation applications mentioned above as well as physical automation capabilities required. This employee will play a role in the go-forward strategy, positioning of offerings, support strategic sales cycles, capture information on competitors, pricing strategies and maintain collateral and outbound messaging. Internally, this person will interact with the product managers, sales, and regional pre-sales teams. They will also feed requirements to engineering as the market demands for the current and future environments.
This position is fully remote and will require 30% - 40% travel.
Requirements:
Strong understanding of battery manufacturing market requirements and manufacturing capabilities
Experience creating strategic plans and analyzing markets
Battery Manufacturing Experience (E.g Li-ion process for EV and other applications)
Project Management / training experience in Battery manufacturing and associated factory automation applications
Understanding of equipment characteristics and equipment suppliers for Battery manufacturing
Ability to communicate with customers at multiple levels included C-level
Able to work in cross-functional teams
Strong verbal communication skills, presentation and marketing skills
International and domestic travel required (Mostly NA & Europe at 30 -35 %)

U.S. Salary Range:
$116,000.00 - $159,500.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on a number of factors including location and level and will vary depending on confirmed job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
