Job Title: Director, Account Transitions
Reports To: Sector Transition Director (DTL) – Global Transitions Team
Location: Americas – this position can be filled in any U.S. state working remotely with some travel, as needed.
Role Purpose
This person will lead multi-disciplined project team as part of Global Change Management organization to ensure overall transition success. Work with executives, mid-level managers, and project teams to manage and actively participate in the development of project plans that support account transition/transformation projects.
This individual will provide on-going leadership and direction for these projects by facilitating planning sessions and control meetings, assessing risk, implementing mitigation plans and communicating with key decision-makers.
Responsibilities include:
Participate in the client pursuit process, including solution and transition strategy development and yellow pads/presentations as needed
Lead all transition planning efforts prior to Kickoff, including team mobilization
Lead the core and extended transition team to ensure all transition commitments are met and delivered in the agreed timeframe following established transition process
Serve as the transition central point of contact for client leadership, and CBRE sales and operations leadership
Manage the transition budget, forecast any deviation, and provide required reporting
Develop the Transition Commitment Document; validate the Transition Schedule to ensure it meets requirements
Host the internal and client-facing transition Kickoff meetings, including coordination and execution, with the support of the core and extended team
Lead the weekly transition Steering Call with client, including coordination and development of required materials
Identify and resolve risks and obstacles that may impede transition success and ensure detailed mitigation plans are in place; manage issue and risk escalation
Lead the Go Live strategy and “war room” to ensure successful day 1
Ensure contract obligations are met and transition deliverables are satisfied using established practices, tools and processes
Manage project signoff and closeout process including Transition Improvement Process (TIP) completion and operational handoff to account leadership
Serve as the Global Transition Leader on multi-region projects for which they are the lead region, in addition to serving as the Transition Leader for that region
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Shows proactive leadership, can guide and lead in the absence of a DTL; knows all transition roles and responsibilities and can execute autonomously. Proactively steers direction through transition and can seamlessly interact with all stakeholders and clients.
Lead matrix project team made up account Alliance Director, Divisional Director and SME's from functions and business for any project type and under any complexity (Demobilization, Transformation, Global Projects).
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Facilities Management, Business Administration or related field
Minimum 15 years progressive leadership experience
MBA or advanced degree preferred
Professional background with systems implementations, mergers/acquisitions, re-engineering or other large/complex projects
Deep operational knowledge in complex organizations
International work experience preferred
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Responsible for planning efforts leading up to Transition Kickoff; hosts client facing transition kickoff events. Review Transition Bulletins and reporting from relevant project teams.
Able to understand current processes and can proactively explore new ideas to increase quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and able to lead others through process improvements.
An expert in presentation, oral communication and written response.
A change leader, able to drive improvements across the organization partnering with stakeholder groups across all of GWS.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Understands impacts and cascade effects of managing time and expenses. Understand transition budget developments and how to expertly manage to each established budget.
AUTONOMY / IMPACT
Expert at ensuring all scope is accounted for within the transition plan; can proactively develop custom components based off client needs and can lead the development of new components into the standard plan.
Can predict possible risks and proactively develop mitigation plans with the appropriate stakeholders. Can lead teams through solutions and enable successful outcomes.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the position is $130,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $150,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
