You will be joining the Threat Management team as a senior associate for the Network Data Incident Response (NDIR) service regionally, as well as driving operational incident triage and analysis for the global service. NDIR is a newly formed internal service which provides first-line reporting and triage for all data incidents across the PwC Network of Firms, and is a key Network initiative to manage data-related risk.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader:

  • Providing technical and investigative analysis for reported data incidents, involving multiple diverse and dispersed teams, in support of local, regional and global data security operations;

  • Contributing subject matter expertise and quality assurance for technical analysis and reporting of data incidents;

  • Driving continuous process and technical improvement, as well as team and personal development, to maximize the quality and effectiveness of the NDIR service;

  • Representing the NDIR service to local, regional and global stakeholders;

  • Demonstrating thorough knowledge in computer networking, operating systems (both Windows and Unix based operating systems), and virtualization (cloud and on-premise);

  • Exhibiting experience with SIEM-based detections and analysis;

  • Understandinginvestigative theory and best practices for effective analysis;

  • Possessing SOC/Incident Response/Technical Investigation core skills including security event review, log analysis, host analysis, email analysis, and network analysis;

  • Displaying stakeholder engagement and negotiation experience;

  • Exhibiting experience working in a complex, matrix organizations;

  • Demonstrating experience working with multiple stakeholders across functional and technical skill sets, in particular facilitating collaboration with General Counsel, Human Capital and Risk functions;

  • Possessing expertise in one or more the following areas: Windows or Linux forensic analysis (acquisition/evidence handling, rapid triage, and in-depth analysis to answer common analytic questions), Advanced data analysis, statistics, and visualization, Threat Hunting and Detection Engineering;

  • Demonstrating experience with insider threat or data loss protection services;

  • Collaborating through effective contributions to all types of work teams (functional, cross-functional and self-directed);

  • Utilizing proficient written and verbal communications in order to efficiently interact across all organization levels and functions;

  • Possessing an analytical perspective on computing and data technologies;

  • Applying problem solving, within the context of data investigation, analysis and tradecraft in a highly complex environment;

  • Assessing complex and competing prioritieswhile exercising sound judgment through direction and execution;

  • Possessing a passion for client and service quality, and genuine drive to improve as an individual, with your team and our security operations capabilities; and,

  • Displaying perseverance and motivation to drive dynamic and complex security operations in order to deliver the highest quality service.

Compensation range: $86,500- $144,000 and may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and where the applicant resides within California.

For Applicants Residing in Colorado

Compensation range: $81,000- $126,500 plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.

For Applicants Residing in New York City or Westchester County, NY

Compensation range: $92,000-$144,000 plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.

For Applicants Residing in Washington

Compensation range: $92,000- $144,000 plus may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
