This is considered an IT engineering role and will be required to interface between the Architecture and Operations teams. This role is very hands on in the design, test, and implementation of Network infrastructure. This role will also be responsible for Level 3 support on-call. 5 years' experience as a network engineer.<br> <br> <b>Job Description</b> <br> <ul> <li>Ability to perform network maintenance and systems upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations.</li> <li>Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability</li> <li>Provide networking infrastructure assessment, planning, design and implementation</li> <li>Configure and install various network devices and service (Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Load Balancers, VPN)</li> <li>Perform capacity planning and trending</li> <li>Provide support and troubleshooting</li> <li>Manage client relationships, vendor service and peer support in a team environment to meet or exceed service level agreement parameters</li> <li>Maintain familiarity with currently implemented and new technology, including new versions of software/firmware, implementation of upgrades, and changes to procedures/commands.</li> <li>Provide clear communication and documentation of events, processes, procedures and configuration details</li> <li>Areas of technology:<ul> <li>Cloud Networking - AWS, Azure</li> <li>Cisco - Switching, Firewalls, SD-WAN, ACI</li> <li>Aruba - WLAN</li> <li>VPN Tunneling</li> <li>Palo Alto Firewalls</li> <li>CenturyLink MPLS/WAN environments</li></ul></li></ul> <br> <b>Basic & Preferred Qualifications</b> <br> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in related field a plus</li> <li>5 years' experience as a network engineer or similar field.</li> <li>Ability to work within a team and independently</li> <li>Excellent oral and written communication skills</li> <li>Ability to write technical documentation</li> <li>Ability to work within the multiple departments internal and external to IT</li> <li>Problem solving ability (to include troubleshooting, prioritization, and escalation skills)</li> <li>Extensive planning skills</li> <li>Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-changing environment</li></ul> <br> <b>Industry-Competitive Benefits</b> <br> <br>Coupled with our compensation and bonus incentive programs, our benefits deliver rewards that are market competitive. This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor.
