TITLE: Lead Test Engineer

LOCATION: Maryland Heights, MO

JOB SUMMARY: Evaluate High-Level Design documents to identify requirement gaps and dependencies that would hinder the successful completion of a project. Utilize XML and API calls in testing actions to access underlying functionality of software that does not present a User Interface layer for validations. Analyze information in a database using complex SQL queries. Leverage billing systems across multiple vendors for testing needs including ICOMS and CSG billing environments. Track test cases, defects, and ALM execution status. Utilize Cable Triple play to configure Cable Customers accounts with multiple lines of business. Develop test scenarios and document scenarios for repeatability. Provide triage functions for defects and other similar issues found in our QA processes as well as Pre-Production validation of solution. Perform test execution and evaluations and proper functionality early state developed software solutions. Report on test findings and work with development resources to triage and repeat issues to add in the swift resolution of a problem. Liaise with Project Managers and team management to ensure timelines are met and project reports accurately identify progress through the test life cycle. Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications. Perform test planning, write test cases/scripts, test case automation and test execution. Work on projects of high complexity within one or more development environments.

EDUCATION/ REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Must have 4 years of experience utilizing XML or API calls in testing actions to access underlying functionality of software to assess User Interface layer for validations; tracking test cases, defects, and ALM execution status; and utilizing Cable Triple play to configure cable customers accounts with multiple lines of business. Must have 2 years of experience analyzing information in Oracle using complex SQL queries; and leveraging billing systems across multiple vendors for testing needs including ICOMS and CSG billing environments.
