This role in summary

Whirlpool is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Analyst, Procurement in Benton Harbor, MI.

This Analyst position is a procurement position for individuals demonstrating consistent use and understanding of cost drivers, financial analysis, market dynamics, and competitive tension. The Analyst will support $750M in spend analytics to provide detailed forecasts to the business on North American Chemicals & Reins purchasing.

Your responsibilities will include

  • Accurate forecasting, planning, and communication of the overall changes in the market and supply base sourcing

  • Successfully coordinate and translate market trends and supplier pricing with the commodity team to generate an accurate monthly forecast

  • Utilize SAP to enter accurate data and run queries to analyze the data for validation and communication to leadership on the variances month to month

  • Create simplified processes to continue to enhance and improve the forecasting and validation process

  • Provide accurate reporting necessary to keep leadership informed of the monthly variances along with risks and opportunities

  • Support the team with raw material settlement invoice payments through accurate validation

  • Forecast monthly for the North American Chemicals & Resins Team

  • Enter pricing into SAP, run queries, and validate the forecast on a monthly basis

Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 6+ months of experience (including academic, internship, or coop) in Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or Engineering

Preferred skills and experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or Engineering

  • 2+ years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement or Supply chain

  • Proven communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and management skills

  • Strong analytical and computer related skills

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple key activities

  • Ability to quickly build strong rapport and relationships with internal process partners and suppliers

  • Ability to grow in your technical abilities to become a subject matter expert in Chemicals & Resins

Additional information

Employees in this role can work a hybrid schedule of three core days in office and two days remote. This enables employees to come together to collaborate in-person and gives employees the added flexibility to work remotely
