Role Details

Masons primarily work in the construction industry and are responsible for smoothing and finishing concrete surfaces to complete construction projects.

Island Mechanical Corporation is a general contractor in Hawaii specializing in pipeline construction, fabrication and directional drilling for major utility companies, refineries, and the federal government.

• Demo and remove existing concrete

• Cut, build, and set concrete stakes and forms

• Construction laborer work

• Ability to pour and finish smaller pours

• Use equipment and tools to safely perform basic construction tasks

• Correct any safety hazards and report them to the foreman

• Pour concrete, screed, finish, and broom concrete

• Other related duties and projects as assigned

• Must have own concrete tools.

• Experience with rebar and tying rebar and working with hand tools.

• 3-4 years of concrete experience, concrete finishing experience is preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent – required

• Ability to work extended hours when necessary for business needs

• Experience working in construction is a plus

• Ability and willingness to travel as needed

• Ability to maintain valid driver’s license

• None

Physical Requirements

• Walking 100% of the day on uneven ground

• Squatting 50% of the day

• Kneeling 50% of the day

• Standing 100% of the day

• Working with small hand tools for 30% of the day

• Working in outside environment 100% of the day

• May work more than 8 hours a day

• Will lift more than 75 lbs. 30% of the day

• Will lift at least 50 lbs. 50% of the day

Pay- $22 - $32 /Hourly *Depending on Experience levels
